Most people know that getting outside is healthy and fun, but struggle with meaningfully bringing nature’s benefits into their personal lives, classrooms, or organizations. That’s where we come in.
What we do.
Maine Outdoor School (MOS) connects learners and adventurers of all ages with the outdoors. Whether you are looking to learn how to identify plants or paddle a canoe, provide organizational team building opportunities, or enrich your school programming, our team of Registered Maine Guides and Naturalist Educators will design the perfect experience for you.
Do you already have a budget or funding partner? Please schedule your 2024-25 school programming by filling out our form.
What do our programs look like?
Experiential. Hands-on. Interdisciplinary.
MOS educational programs and organizational services are fully customizable, rooted in the outdoors and science, and can be standards-aligned for schools.

“There is a great need for students to learn in nature. In my experience, this gives students a chance to challenge themselves and learn in an alternative environment. This is also a time that allows for deeper-level thinking, a perspective that you cannot always get from the classroom.”
